Neil's Horse Power
The Kit

The nice thing about running is you don’t need much equipment. Your legs will do just fine.

But a few gadgets help the whole experience so very much easier. Here’s my essentials…

  • iPod Shuffle - £15 (eBay)
  • Saucony ProGrid Guide 2 - If you’re going to spend money on running, spend it on good shoes. We all run differently, meaning one shoe doesn’t fit all. If you by the wrong shoe you could do more worse than good. Shops like Up & Running do  video Gait analysis that will find your natural running style and match a shoe for it. (Usually free if you buy the shoes there)
  • T-Shirt with Breathable Fabric - (I got this for £10 in a sale)
  • Sennheiser PMX70 Headphones - Easily the best running headphones and £10 on eBay

Obviously i do crack out the ‘auld shorts too. But i don’t really pay much attention to what kind as long as they’re not lyrca.
